Newsletter - AUGUST 2021

In the August 2021 newsletter, we are proud to share the KDSF Annual Report 2020/2021 which highlights work done by the King David Schools’ Foundation over the past financial year, made possible through the generosity of our amazing donors.

As the newsletter coincides with Women’s Month in South Africa, we have included a Women’s Day Supplement on Women’s Health, Wealth and Happiness. These pages give space to ordinary Davidian women – wives, mothers, sisters and daughters – from whose experience we can all learn as they offer insightful life hacks.

We share a virtual tour of the magnificent new Elements Media Centre at King David Sandton, made possible through the passion of the Lutrin family in honour of their mother, Shelley Anne Lutrin, an extraordinary woman who dreamed of instilling a love of reading in every student.

For our UK alumni and as UK< tax payers, we offer new information on how to donate through UK Fund for Charities, with information on how the KDSF benefits from GIFT AID when you donate.

Following the introduction of South Africa’s POPI Act from 1 July 2021, we share our Data Protection and Privacy Policy, and hope that you agree to stay in touch with us as you have our commitment that your personal information is used in a responsible and secure manner.

You can read about our successful ReZOOMions from the KDVP Class of 1990 and 2001 and the KDL Class of 1961, 1971 and 2001 and diarise the dates for upcoming reunions this year.

As finally, as always, we bring you insights From the Wolf’s Mouth and good news in our Mazeltov section on births, engagements and even marriages in the time of Covid!
