Terms and Conditions

for the King David Schools’ Foundation Dulini Leadwood Competition

(as at 25 October 2023)

  1. The Competition Period: 16 May 2023 up to and including 16 April 2024 (in South Africa).
  2. A commitment to a new monthly-recurring payment, or an increase to an existing monthly-recurring payment, in favour of the King David Schools’ Foundation, during the Competition Period will qualify for entry into the draw, as long as the intention of the entrant to participate in the draw is communicated timeously to the Foundation. The new or increased portion of the monthly payments received by the KDSF prior to the draw date will not qualify for a South African Section 18A tax deduction.
  3. The number of entries into the prize-draw which an entrant will receive, will be as follows:

    1. Should an amount be committed which is not in line with the above amounts, the number of entries that corresponds to the lower tier, will be entered into the draw. Eg, if an amount of R899 is committed per month, 3 entries will be entered into the draw.
  1. Commitments are payable monthly in the form of debit-order, credit card or EFT.
    1. Proof may be required upon winner confirmation.
    2. Recurring monthly Credit Card or EFT payments will require written confirmation to the KDSF from the entrant.
    3. The first recurring monthly payment must have been received by the Foundation prior to 8 May 2024.
  2. One lucky entrant will be drawn as the Winner by a SA registered Auditor on 16 May 2024. The Auditor’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  3. The winner must be 18 (eighteen) years or older at the time of making the monthly commitment.
  4. The King David Schools’ Foundation will endeavour to contact the winner once every day for 3 (three) consecutive working days, during the hours of 08:00 am until 18:00pm (South African time), after his/her name is drawn. If the winner cannot be contacted during this period, using the contact details available to the Foundation on their database, the prize will be forfeited and a different winner will be selected in accordance with the rules. After the first selected winner has forfeited the prize as contemplated herein, the King David Schools’ Foundation will attempt to contact each further name drawn, on the same terms as above, until a winner is confirmed.
  5. The King David Schools’ Foundation reserves the right to use the Winner’s Name, Surname, City, Country, video and/or images for marketing and promotional material, without requiring any further consent from the winner.
  6. Prize description.
    1. Three exclusive-use nights of 4 suites at Dulini Leadwood in the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve.
      1. In total, up to 8 guests can be accommodated per night.
      2. Two game drives per day.
      3. All meals (kosher catering if required).
      4. Drinks (house wines, local brand spirits, beers and soft drinks)
      5. Mini bar
      6. Transfers from the Ulusaba airstrip to the lodge and back to the airstrip.
    2. Two nights’ accommodation (including breakfast), for up to 8 guests at the Houghton Hotel – Johannesburg, as follows:
      1. King Room for 2 people,
      2. Junior Room for 2 people
      3. Penthouse for 4 people.
    3. Day trip to Soweto with tour guide Ilan Ossendryver.
    4. Anything not mentioned in the Prize Description is not included in the Prize. For the removal of doubt, the King David Schools’ Foundation will not be responsible for any travel documents, insurance, vaccinations, passports and/or anything else required to access the prize and will not supply flights/transport to or from the venue (other than the Ulusaba Airstrip transfers).
    5. The prize is not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
    6. The King David Schools’ Foundation will not be responsible for any loss, damage, injury or any harm caused whatsoever, as a direct or indirect consequence of participating in this competition.
    7. The prize must be booked before 31 May 2025 and used no later than 1 November 2025, after which time it will be forfeited.
    8. The booking is subject to availability.
    9. Specific dates that are excluded for the booking date of the prize:
      1. 16 December 2024 to 10 January 2025
      2. 14 April 2025 to 28 April 2025
  7. The King David Schools’ Foundation reserves the right to update or amend these rules at any time and to cancel the competition if necessary.
  8. This competition is run by the King David Schools’ Foundation.
