Professor David Metz is Professor of Medicine and Associate Chief for Clinical Affairs for the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, USA. He is actively involved in clinical research, teaching and patient care with specific expertise in upper gastrointestinal disease states and neuroendocrine tumors.
He has been recognized as a “top doc” in Philadelphia and the Northeast United States for the last decade and is active in many United States Gastroenterology societies.
He previously served on the FDA Advisory Board for Gastrointestinal Drugs and also acted as the American Gastroenterological Association liaison to the American Board of Internal Medicine Committee for Recertification. He is chair elect of the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS) and lectures frequently in the United States, Europe and Asia.
