“I was part of the very first group of kids to start at the new King David Sandton school premises. My handprints are probably somewhere in the path that leads down from the gate. I have fond memories of Hazel Bolnick and later Gillian Horwitz who taught me in std 4/5. Lorraine Srage taught me History in matric and thanks to her it was my favourite high school subject!
I will always be grateful to King David for the high quality of education offered and the opportunity to learn about our Jewish heritage. Kind David instilled the values of life-long learning, giving of oneself to community and society, and leading by example. These values have profoundly shaped my own life as an academic and educator”
